Hi, I'm Shellie, the proud owner of The Nook. In 2019, I took a leap of faith and left my financial career to create a sanctuary for yoga, friendship, and mindfulness. With the loving support of my wonderful husband David, who built The Nook, my dream became a reality. I'm a certified 200-hour Vinyasa and Hatha yoga teacher, as well as a 60-hour Children's Yoga instructor. David, our dog Fletcher, and I live on a charming wide-beam boat. I believe yoga is for everyone and should always be fun!

Rachel Peters

Rachel Peters

I’m a passionate yoga teacher (RYT200, trained with Steph Ball-Mitchell’s Online Yoga School and The Nook in Tewkesbury) offering calm, inclusive spaces to explore your practice. I love all styles—especially Yin—and encourage mindful movement, breath awareness, and a sense of peace. Whether in group or private sessions, I aim to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow.

James Aubury

James Aubury

I started yoga regularly in 2015 and haven’t looked back. I’ve trained in Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin, completing my 200-hour certification in 2020. I’ve also done breathwork and flexibility training, and I’ve completed my 100-hour Meditation Teacher certificate. Outside of yoga, I’m an IT guy, runner, and family man.

Yoga has been an important part of my life for over 20 years. I have found that regular practice can help you achieve a healthy balance in terms of mental and physical wellbeing, even when times are tough, and I would like to pass this learning on to others through my teaching. I am part of a community of practice at The Nook studio in Tewkesbury where I have recently trained as a yoga teacher. The friendly and accessible atmosphere here aligns with my preferred way of practicing and teaching.

Hi, I’m Jayne, an RYT 200 and newly certified! I retired in 2023, tried yoga… and fell in love. What started as movement became a space to breathe, grow, and reconnect. Now I’m teaching gentle, inclusive classes for all levels. I’m still learning, and I’d love you to grow with me. Let’s explore this practice together with kindness, curiosity, and joy. See you on the mat.

Tracie Gaston

Tracie Gaston

Hi, I'm Tracie! I've been practicing various styles of yoga for the past 30 years. I hold a 230-hour teaching certificate in Core Strength Vinyasa yoga because I'm passionate about maintaining a safe yoga practice as I age. I also love helping others stay balanced, strong, and flexible during our "queenager" years! Besides yoga, I work in training, am a wife and mom, and enjoy trail-running with my beautiful golden retriever, Rosie.
